Utah lava, which is our natural black lava rock, is much lighter weight than Hawaiian Black Lava. We feature foamed obsidian which is
a light volcanic rock filled with air pockets. If it were to not have any air pockets in the lava rock, it would look like black glass.
You may have seen this black volcanic glass in a familiar american culture. The American Indians used black lava, or obsidian to make
arrow heads. Of course, once our obsidian is foamed, it becomes a light weight volcanic rock and no longer serves for arrow heads.
